PMFC Training

The Port Matilda Fire Company needs your help with training. We conduct our weekly training on Wednesday evenings. We’re looking for community members in Port Matilda Bourough, Halfmoon, Worth, Taylor and Huston Townships to provide us a training space and an opportunity to make your home or business even safer.

We are looking for spaces to do “run-in” approaches and simulated fire setup. If you’re interested, call or text Justin at (814) 343-1540. He can answer any additional questions and coordinate this to happen on one of our training nights.

What we will do: arrive at your home or business and set up as if it were a real emergency; pull hoses off the rigs and stage gear and crews as we would in a real emergency, all the way to the doors; answer questions you may have about the process and provide advice on how to better prep your space for a real emergency.

What we won’t do: drive across your yard, enter your home or business; spray water or break property.

This provides our crews and officers an opportunity to work together as a team and see where we can improve. It will help us highlight issues unique to each residence and business that we strive to protect. This could be the difference between life and death for one of our firefighters, or worse, one of your family members.
