Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority Reminder

With the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the Centre Region is doing all it can to protect workers and contractors providing essential services. One of those services is refuse collection. To better serve you and protect staff, we are reminding residents that all trash materials are to be bagged prior to being placed inside your trash can. Bags should be tied or closed to prevent trash from falling out. This prevents workers from having to collect any loose trash with their hands. In addition, the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority reminds residents not to place items that may be contaminated, such as tissues and paper towels, in your recycling. Residents are also reminded that wipes are not recyclable. Thank you for doing your part to keep these workers safe and to prevent any service disruptions.
